Quincy’s Cub Scout Pack 42 provides a high-quality, year-round program for boys and girls in grades K-5. Through hands-on experiences and exciting adventures, scouts develop leadership skills, confidence, and a strong sense of citizenship. Our program is built around fun, community engagement, and a love for the outdoors.
Every month, our scouts and their families come together for engaging, family-friendly events. They design and race Pinewood Derby cars, launch model rockets into the sky, and test their problem-solving skills in scavenger hunts. Live animal presentations bring opportunities to meet fascinating creatures up close, while camping trips create lasting memories under the stars.
Exploring nature is an essential part of Pack 42. No matter the season, our scouts take to the trails, discovering the beauty of local parks and forests. Recent hikes have taken us through Wompatuck State Park, Blue Hills Reservation, Squaw Rock, Fort Revere Park, and Camp Sayre. Rain or shine, we embrace the adventure!
Giving back to the community is a core value of Pack 42. Our scouts honor veterans through Wreaths Across America, help maintain local spaces with clean-up projects at our host churches, and bring smiles to residents at Brookdale Senior Living with skits and activities. Each year, they proudly march in Quincy’s Memorial and Veterans Day Parades, demonstrating respect and gratitude for those who have served.
Pack 42 is more than just a Cub Scout pack—it’s a place where kids build friendships, develop lifelong skills, and make a difference in their community. We welcome new families to join us on this exciting journey!
